Notes

A really marNew Vision United Church Screen Resolution Logo (3x3 inches)velous thing is happening tomorrow evening at New Vision. Supercrawl has organized a benefit concert to welcome youth among the Syrian refugees to Hamilton. Headlining the show is the well-known band The National. The concert is sold out; promoters expect about 800 people.

It is really good to see the sanctuary getting some decent use as a concert venue. Hamilton is beginning to find this space again. And to find us and help us see and take on a role with them as people of faith.

Shannon McLoughlin our Thursday Outreach Program social worker is off on vacation for a couple of weeks. Filling in for Shannon is Mike Charters. Thanks Mike for a great job today. Everyone in the Thursday Outreach community hopes Shannon enjoys her well deserved holiday!

Surf Shack, our Summer Day Camp the mornings of July 25-29, is open now for registration. Go to our website to download an application and find out more about this fantastic opportunity for children in our neighbourhoods ages 5-11. There’s a volunteer engagement program for youth ages 12-15 during the camp as well. http://newvisionunited.org/?page_id=1976
