Hello friends, and welcome to a very special edition of New Vision Notes for Advent 2023. Christmas Day is merely a week away!
If you missed reading Dixon’s Advent letter to New Vision family and friends on Sunday, you may watch a video version of his message by clicking the image below!
(For those who would prefer to download a PDF version, please click here ).
You are invited to join us in-person or by Zoom tomorrow evening (Tuesday December 19th) at 7pm for an evening of reflection, and contemplative worship that creates space for the losses that can feel more present during the Advent and Christmas season. Your loss could be the death of a loved one, the loss of a country you’re unable to return to, a difficult diagnosis, or strained relationships that make it hard to feel like you belong. Exactly who you are and how you are are welcome in this circle of remembrance and hope. The service will include Scripture readings, hymns, prayers, a candle-lighting ritual, and seek to cultivate an atmosphere of peace and compassion. To attend the service via Zoom, please use the regular worship link or click here (Access will be available approximately 6:45pm tomorrow evening).
Important reminder: Worship at New Vision on Sunday December 24th will be at 4:00pm in the afternoon. There will be no 10:30am service or Evening Service this year. To access the service on Zoom, please use the regular Sunday morning link.
Your regular weekly edition of New Vision Notes will be coming to you on Thursday, as usual. We wish you a Christmas season full of love, hope, health and joy!
