It’s been two years since I began sending these weekly notes out!

Thank you all for faithfully following them, and thanks as well to everyone who has joined in along the way.

The New Vision congregation meets for its annual meeting this Sunday after worship. A splendid group of people have volunteered contributions for us to share a meal after worship and before the meeting together. You are all invited!

We begin our Black History Month recognitions in worship this Sunday. I’ve put a Nelson Mandela quote up on the big sign on Main St. W.: “It always seems impossible until it’s done.” We are having Dr. Gary Warner speak to us on Sunday Feb 26, and Aisha Nicholson dance. More about this later in the month.

This has been a heart-pounding few days for us as the world looks to have been turned inside out. I attended the vigil at City Hall for the victims of the Quebec City mosque shootings on Monday evening along with several others from New Vision.  I have attached a photo I took.
