Welcome to this week’s edition of New Vision Notes! If you’re reading for the first time, we’re glad you’ve subscribed. If you’ve been a subscriber for a while, we’re grateful to continue reaching you each week.
- This Sunday we look forward to a service led by Helen, Dennis and others from our church community.
-
Our friend Sulah of the Nature Network wrote on October 10 and 18 that they are not doing well. One of their members is very ill. He told us she needs to undergo an expensive bone marrow test/surgery that costs about $590 CAD. The Kenyan health authorities will not cover it.
Would people at New Vision be willing to chip in to our Benevolent Fund to help defray the cost of this emergency surgery? The fastest way to do this is by sending an e-transfer donation to payments@newvisionunited.org (Please note in the message that funds are to support the Nature Network). In-person donations (of any amount) made on Sunday morning marked for the Nature Network will also be helpful and much-appreciated.
An interfaith vigil for victims of violence in Palestine and Israel (a time for grief, lament and silence) will be held next Wednesday October 25th at 8pm. All are welcome to gather at 130 Victoria Ave. North.
- United Church of Canada 2024 Calendars are now available for purchase for only $10. Please see Arlene after the service if you would like to purchase one.
- In celebration of Hamilton Day, on Thursday November 2nd, Dwayne Gretzky (a cover band like no other) takes the stage upstairs at Music Hall. (For more info and to purchase tickets, click here)
- The World Health Organization has declared that the COVID-19 pandemic has ended. We no longer ask people to mask to be part of our worship gathering; however, very much know that we remain mask friendly!
- Join us on Sunday mornings 10:30 am week to week either in person at 24 Main St. W. or on Zoom by clicking here. The link is: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/782292511.
See you on Sunday!
