Notes

We’re worshipping in the open air on Sunday – usual time – 10:30 am – gathering on the lawn on the left side of the main entrance to Central Public School. CPS is on Hunter Street, a six minute walk and two short blocks south of New VisiIMG_20160715_090626190_HDRon. There are many trees, so the shade should be fine, and the ground is pretty level. Right across the street is the upper parking lot for City Hall, so in some ways, we’re looking at better parking than is on offer at our MacNab site for most of us!

We’re planning to be present as a group as lightly as possible  on the lawn. We’ll have cold water for everyone to stay hydrated, but we’re not planning a picnic or other folding-lawn-chairs-300x289refreshments.  Bring a lawn chair if you have one. We’ll have some stacking chairs for those who don’t.

If it rains or seriously threatens rain or thunderstorms, we’ll be in our usual worship space at the MacNab site.

This week coming is our Summer Vacation Day Camp. It’s called Surf Shack. We’ve put some excellent preparation into the camp ourselves, and we’ll be hosting a dynamic complement of teenage counsellors and their young adult coordinator to lead the camp. There is still room if you know any children ages 5-11 who are climbing the walls or have had other plans fall through. Here’s a link to our website registration form. http://newvisionunited.org/?page_id=1976

I thought I’d end this note with a pick-me-up.. Darcy Dee uses a scooter to getIMG_20160721_131546802_HDR around, and she does not have the range she once had. Her sisters have banded together to get her a handicap accessible van. We see Darcy practically every Sunday now as a result, and sometimes during the week as well. Here’s a pic of her van. Look at the saying on the back doors, and then have a read of the licence plate.

See you at Central Public School on Sunday!

Rev. Ian
